Questions and Answers About The Well Genie Program
How can I check if my medication is covered?
If you take a generic chronic medication, there’s a high likelihood it’s covered! Our formulary includes 93% of the most prescribed generic medications. Visit our website to confirm if your chronic medication is listed.
What if I need a medication immediately and can’t wait for it to be mailed?
For immediate or acute needs, ask your provider to send the prescription to your local pharmacy. Present your membership card at pick-up, and the medication will be provided at no charge (up to a 21-day supply is covered for acute medications).
How do I transfer my prescriptions from my local pharmacy to Well Genie?
Most refills at local pharmacies are for 30-day supplies. Have your provider e-prescribe a 90-day supply of your generic chronic medications (from our formulary) to our pharmacy partner. The pharmacy details can be found on your digital membership card and in your welcome email.
How are prescription refills handled?
We send a 90-day supply for chronic medications. Around the 70th day of your supply, you’ll receive a text message from our pharmacy team asking for approval to refill your prescription. This ensures you never run out of medication.
How can I find a generic alternative for my current brand-name medication?
Use the medication lookup tool on the Well Genie website to check for alternative generic options.
Does Well Genie affect my existing healthcare benefits?
No. Well Genie is not insurance and operates independently of your current benefits. You’ll still use your existing pharmacy benefits for brand medications or generic medications not included in our formulary.
When does my membership start?
For Commercial Clients: Membership begins when you receive your welcome email and digital membership card.
For Consumer Clients: Membership starts as soon as you sign up and pay your first month’s fee. You’ll receive your welcome email and digital membership card within 24 hours.

CareClix is the virtual care provider for Well Genie. CareClix was founded by board certified practicing physicians. With over 40 years of combined medical knowledge in the practice of medicine and telemedicine research, the founders are committed to providing their patients with superior quality healthcare anywhere, at any time — leading to the formation of CareClix. Both Primary Care and Mental Health Care physicians and clinicians are ready to treat and care for you.

Sign into your Well Genie account with your Single Sign On (SSO) and then “TALK TO A DR”. Next select Primary Care or Mental Health Care appointment, choose for yourself or your dependent, select your location and time, and then receive the high quality care you deserve.

What is a Patient Advocate?
A Patient Advocate is someone who helps patients navigate through the healthcare system. Patient advocates help patients—and their loved ones—navigate the health care system in many ways, like communicating with doctors, finding legal help, working with insurance companies, and setting up tests and screenings. They assist with many aspects of a patient’s medical care to make it a little less complicated.
Who provides your Advocacy services?
Access Patient Advocacy is our provider for Patient Advocacy for Well Genie members.
What can a Patient Advocate do for me?
A Patient Advocate can provide assistance with:
· Finding doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers which can save Members considerable time and money
· Negotiating lower prices or payment schedules on hospital, doctor and other medical bills
· Locating hard to reach specialists, critical illness providers and medical institutions
· Solving billing and related administrative issues
· Identifying specialist physicians and medical institutions
· Coordination of medical record transfers
· Accessing community resources
· And much more!
How to reset my Username or Password?
Go to the sign in page associated with your Well Genie account with your Single Sign On (SSO) and then select to either “CHECK ELIGIBILTY” or “FORGOT PASSWORD”. Follow the prompts from there and then start receiving the high quality care you deserve.
Can you resend my welcome email?
Please reach out to [email protected] and request that they send your welcome email again. Be sure to include your first and last name, along with the first and last name of the primary member. After your information has been verified, they will resend your welcome email.
Can you resend my member ID card?
You can find your digital membership card in the Member Portal. Instructions for registering on the Member Portal were provided in your welcome email. If you haven’t received that email or need it resent, please reach out to [email protected]. Be sure to include your first and last name, along with the first and last name of the primary member. After your information has been verified, they will resend your welcome email.
