Short-term Medications

Also known as "Immediate Need Medications". If members have a need for these types of medications, they will be able to pick up these medications at their local retail pharmacy. The program includes the most prescribed acute medications for up to a 21-day supply at pharmacies nationwide at no additional cost.

Long-term Medications

Also known as "Maintenance Drugs". These medications are prescribed for chronic, long-term conditions and are taken on a regular, recurring basis. Examples of chronic conditions are: high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes, to name a few. These drugs are well-established medications that have proven safety and efficacy and are considered first-line therapy options for the treatment of common chronic conditions. These medications will be shipped to members in a 3 month (90 Day) supply. In many cases for less money than a 1 month (30 Day) supply at your traditional pharmacy. See the difference today!

Pharmacy Wellness Program Policy

Dependents: Once a dependent (excluding spouse) turns 18, they must transition to their own individual monthly subscription.

Age Limit: All members, including spouses and dependents, will be automatically unenrolled from the program upon reaching the age of 65.

If you take a generic chronic medication, there’s a high likelihood it’s covered! Our formulary includes 93% of the most prescribed generic medications. Visit our website to confirm if your chronic medication is listed.

For immediate or acute needs, ask your provider to send the prescription to your local pharmacy. Present your membership card at pick-up, and the medication will be provided at no charge (up to a 21-day supply is covered for acute medications).

If you’re out of a chronic medication, your provider can send a 30-day supply prescription to your local pharmacy. This can also be picked up at no charge while you wait for your 90-day supply to be delivered.

Most refills at local pharmacies are for 30-day supplies. Have your provider e-prescribe a 90-day supply of your generic chronic medications (from our formulary) to our pharmacy partner. The pharmacy details can be found on your digital membership card and in your welcome email.

To receive a text to refill your prescription you can either call the pharmacy toll-free number or when you receive notice of your first subscription delivery via text, you can opt-in for refill texting.

No, Well Genie memberships do not include over-the-counter medications.

No. Well Genie is not insurance and operates independently of your current benefits. You’ll still use your existing pharmacy benefits for brand medications or generic medications not included in our formulary.
